Packaged For Success™ Portfolio Development Program for teens helps teens put their best foot forward! During our one day professional portfolio development seminar, young people discover their strengths, record their achievements, create their own definition of success, and develop goals and action steps.  The end result is a completed professional portfolio.

QUESTION: Is a professional portfolio the same as a life book?

ANSWER:  No.  A professional portfolio chronicles your academic and career endeavors to give employers, recruiters, and scouts a complete picture of who you are.  A life book chronicles your personal life including family background and medical history.

 

QUESTION: Is a professional portfolio the same as a scrapbook?

ANSWER: No.  A professional portfolio documents past achievements using employment tools, academic records, and documentation of civic engagement activities.  A scrapbook contains photo memories of special moments and fun life events.

 

QUESTION: Why does every teen need a professional portfolio?

ANSWER: Because every teen’s life is worth documenting!  Youth enrolled in Packaged For Success Program:

 

  • Recognize talents and strengths
  • Document accomplishments and goals
  • Develop organizational and leadership skills

 

QUESTION: Will teens enjoy the Packaged For Success Program?

ANSWER: Yes. The Packaged For Success Program uses interactive games and activities to help youth create their own definition of success.  Our peer mentoring component allows youth to take part in a group community service project.
